The Board of Directors promotes the vision and mission of the Task Force.  Board of Directors meets the
morning prior to the statewide quarterly membership meeting. (June, September, December and via
conference call the last week in February).  In addition, periodic conference calls are sometimes held.
 
Board Members will serve for three years with the last year acting as the support for newly elected officers.
Each person elected shall hold only one office at a time.  Each person can serve two consecutive terms in
the same office.
 
Officers will submit written quarterly reports.  Board Members shall perform the duties assigned to them
in the bylaws or other duties as applicable.

Board of Directors Position Duties
  • Chairperson Provide visionary and executive leadership to the Board of Directors.   Sets the agenda for and presides at the quarterly Board meetings.
  • Secretary - Takes minutes at quarterly Board and statewide meetings. 
  • Treasurer - Approves invoices.  Works with accountant to keep a record of income and expenses of which will be presented at the quarterly Board meetings.  Chairs finance committee.
  • Pediatric Society Medical Liaison - Will provide expert guidance to the Task Force on lactation management in a pediatric practice and/or hospital setting. 
  • Communication - Liaison Serves as chair of the Communication Committee.  Helps to develop and guide Task Force communications plan.  Serves as a primary points of contact for media outreach.
  • Certified Public Accountant - CPA will provide expert guidance to the Task Force on bookkeeping, taxes, government audits, and financial planning.
  • Regional Rep Northwest - Represents community needs and interests.  Serves as a liaison between Local Chapters in the region and the Board.
  • Regional Rep Northeast - Represents community needs and interests.  Serves as a liaison between Local Chapters in the region and the Board.
  • Regional Rep Central - Represents community needs and interests.  Serves as a liaison between Local Chapters in the region and the Board.
  • Regional Rep Southwest - Represents community needs and interests.  Serves as a liaison between Local Chapters in the region and the Board.
  • Regional Rep Southeast - Represents community needs and interests.  Serves as a liaison between Local Chapters in the region and the Board.
  • Ex Officio - Functions in an advisory role.
  • Members-at-Large - Provides general guidance and input.  Does not hold designated officer position.
